PART 1 // FOUNDATIONAL PREPARATION
Dream Journal
Projecting is essentially bringing your full waking awareness into the astral plane. Without recall, you cannot learn. Begin a dream journal immediately . Keep it and a pen beside your bed. Upon waking, even in the middle of the night, record everything you remember using key words. You don’t need to write a detailed description. This will train your brain to retain non-physical memories.
Diet and Physical Discipline
Your physical state mirrors your energetic state. Heavy, processed foods and excess sugar create "fog" in your energy body, making vibration states harder to achieve. Aim for light, natural foods. Avoid eating heavily for 2-3 hours before practice. The goal is a body that can fall asleep while your mind remains wide awake. Avoid cannabis, alcohol, or sedatives for at least 3 hours prior to practice
Daily Meditations and Focus Training
Meditation is absolutely necessary. You are learning to silence the monkey mind. If possible, set up a dedicated meditation space separate from your sleeping area, as we are conditioned to sleep in our beds . Start with just 5 minutes daily, building to 15.
PART 2 // BREATHING TECHNIQUES
Part 2: Breathing Techniques for Altered States
Breathing is the bridge between the voluntary and involuntary nervous systems. By controlling the breath, you slow brainwaves from Beta (alert) to Alpha (relaxed) and Theta (trance).
Box Breathing
This technique is used by Navy SEALs to induce calm under fire. For astral work, it anchors the mind when the body begins to hallucinate or panic .
1. Inhale slowly through your nose for a count of 4.
2. Hold the breath for a count of 4.
3. Exhale slowly through your mouth for a count of 4.
4. Hold the empty lungs for a count of 4.
Repeat for 5-10 minutes. This regulates the heart rate and triggers the parasympathetic nervous system.
Cloud Breathing
This is a preparatory exercise for energy work
1. As you inhale, visualize a pure, white mist or "cloud" entering your nostrils.
2. Feel this cloud travel down your trachea, into your chest, and settle in your belly.
3. As you exhale, imagine pushing this cloud out through your pores or down your legs into the earth. This "pumps" energy through your body .
The Sleep Breathing Method
Some projectors succeed solely by mimicking their own sleeping breath. This requires you to slow your respiration to the deep, diaphragmatic rhythm typical of REM sleep. Record yourself sleeping if needed. When you can consciously replicate that limp, deep-abdomen breathing, you trick the body into paralysis while the mind stays alert .
PART 3 // LIGHT BODY ACTIVATION
Part 3: Activating the Light Body
The light body is a subtle energy system that must be stimulated to "loosen" from the physical. This is done through sensory exercises that fire the neural pathways associated with touch and movement . Perform these while lying down after breathing exercises.
Tactile Imaging
Do not merely visualize. Feel the sensation. If you imagine a finger tracing your shin, you should attempt to generate the actual neural sensation of touch.
· Tracing Your Bones: Begin at the fingers. Using your awareness, "trace" your finger along the bones of your hands, up your shin, over the arm, up your boby. Move slowly. This builds tactile acuity and pulls awareness away from the physical senses .
· Sponging the Bones: Visualize a tiny sponge soaked in liquid light. Squeeze this sponge over your bones starting with your fingers. Squeeze the sponge between your thumb and forefinger and use it to gently rub your bones, starting at the base of the bone. Wipe your bones with the sponge. . Feel the liquid light soak into the bone marrow and radiate outward through the muscles. Sponge each limb and your torso sequentially. This triggers the "energy body" to vibrate.
Primary Center Work
Using your breath, run energy in circuits:
1. Inhale energy up your spine to the Brow Center (third eye).
2. Exhale energy down the front of your body to the Navel Center.
Feel for heat, tingling, or pressure. Do not force it; just observe. After several weeks of this, you will experience the Vibrational State—a powerful buzzing throughout the body that indicates the double is loosening .
PART 4 // AUDITORY PHENOMENA
As you approach the threshold (particularly during the "mind-awake/body-asleep" paralysis phase), you will likely hear auditory hallucinations .
These manifest in various ways
· Loud bangs, chains dragging, explosions
· Whispers, growls
· Someone calling your name.
· Buzzing, roaring, or rushing wind sounds (often the precursor to projection).
Do not be afraid. These are usually one of three things: (1) Neuro-physiological noise as your brain changes frequency, (2) Random "Real Time Zone" noise, or (3) lower entities testing your resolve .
These sounds cannot hurt you. Fear is the only weapon against you. When you hear a voice, say to yourself, "I am safe. I am in control. I am protected by my higher self." Do not engage in conversation until you are fully out. Psychologically, treat the voices like the sounds of a train passing while you wait on the platform—annoying, but irrelevant to your destination.
PART 5 // EXIT TECHNIQUES
Once the Vibrational State is strong (or you enter Sleep Paralysis with a clear mind), use one of these techniques to separate. Do not struggle; use intent rather than muscle.
1. The Rope Technique
Visualize a thick rope hanging 12 inches above your navel. Reach up with your astral hands (not your physical ones) and begin to hand-over-hand pull yourself up. Do not think about raising your physical shoulders. Focus on the motion of climbing. The astral body will follow the intention .
2. The Roll-Out Method
This is often the easiest for beginners.
1. Imagine you are lying on a slippery log.
2. Without tensing your back, intend to roll over onto your side and fall out of the bed.
3. Do not try to "lift" your head. Just roll. You will often find yourself standing beside your bed looking at your physical body .
3. The Lift-Out
Imagine holding a balloon in each hand. Allow the balloons to lift your arms. Then, allow the lift to spread to your shoulders, then your chest. Eventually, you will float upward. This works well for those prone to heavy vibration states.
PART 6 // SELF-DEFENSE PROTOCOLS
The astral plane reflects your beliefs and emotions. Fear attracts negativity. Love and confidence repel it. You do not need weapons if you have sovereignty over your space.
Creating an Energy Shield (The Bubble)
Before sleeping or projecting, visualize a sphere of mirrored, liquid silver surrounding your physical body. Program it with the intent: "Only energies of the highest light may pass through. All else is reflected." Practice this daily so it becomes automatic .
Manifesting Dream Weapons
On the astral, thought is instantaneous. If you encounter a hostile or scary thought-form, you do not need a physical gun (which operates on physical laws and fails on the astral) . Instead, use pure will:
· The Sword of Discernment: Will a flaming sword into your hand. This weapon cuts through illusions and negative ties. Swing it through the entity, not at it.
· The Torch of White Light: Extend your hand and project a blinding beam of white hot light from your palm. Darkness (fear) cannot exist where light (awareness) shines.
The Ultimate Defense:
If you are scared, you are not ready to fight. Simply return to body. Think of your physical toes. Wiggle them. You will snap back instantly. Retreat is a valid tactical choice.
Banishing Negative Energy
If you feel a presence in your room upon returning, perform a "sponging" technique on your aura. Brush your hands down your body (head to toe) visualizing pulling off cobwebs of grey energy, then shake them off into a visualization of the Sun to be incinerated.
You will only fail if you stop practicing.
